Solarcentury is in business for a purpose: to make a meaningful difference in the fight against climate change through the widespread adoption of solar power.
What we do
Solarcentury builds solar systems for investors, businesses and homeowners; everything from utility scale to household scale.
To date we’ve deployed over 750 MWp, built on more than 1,000 sites across the world, and helped over 25,000 homeowners realise the benefits of going solar.
Our customers value our experience in terms of engineering quality, sheer breadth of deployment and absolute commitment to solar. When you choose Solarcentury, you know you’re in good hands.
One of the world’s most trusted, respected and long-standing solar panel companies
Founded in 1998, we’ve been around since the early days of the solar industry and have been part of the evolution that has made solar PV the attractive investment it is today. We’ve put solar on more types of sites than any other company in the industry, and our BIPV products have won multiple awards.
We’re in it for the long-haul
Solar isn’t just our business, it’s our mission. Our commitment to making solar accessible is deep-rooted and long-term, and our solidly-established business is growing steadily worldwide.
Developing a positive health and safety culture
Our objective is to develop a positive health and safety culture across the company, involving and engaging our employees, subcontractors and suppliers.

Walking the talk
Engaging the world with solar
We founded SolarAid and donate 5% of our net profits each year. SolarAid aims to completely eradicate the kerosene lamp from Africa, and is going great guns, having sold over 1 million solar lights to date. Read more here.
Having built East Africa’s largest solar farm on a tea plantation, we donated individual solar systems to the employees there who live on the plantation without grid electricity, allowing them to charge their devices and have light after dark.
As part of our construction of solar farms in the UK, we regularly install a system on a local village hall or school. This allows the local community to directly benefit from free electricity, and engages them in solar and its possibilities.
Preserving the environment
The Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) has recognised us as a company striving to continuously improve our environment performance. Our EMAS accreditation requires us to publish an Environmental Statement that's independently checked for accuracy and reliability by an environmental verifier. Our sites are managed to high environmental standards from recycling of packaging through to composting of food waste, and we use biodeisel and battery generators to reduce fossil fuel consumption during construction.
